Mastering Calisthenics: Pull Up Progressions

Calisthenics or callisthenics are exercises consisting of a variety of gross motor movements—running, standing, grasping, pushing, etc. — often performed rhythmically and with minimal equipment, so essentially, bodyweight exercises.
Calisthenics comes from the Greek words:
Kalli = beautiful + Sthenos = strength
The pull up is one of the foundations of any calisthenic routine. If you are aiming for a leaner, toned body then pull ups alone will do you a lot of good.
